This Carnation cutter set is suitable to use on fondant/plastic icing, gum paste and flower moulding paste. This set consist of 3 cutters measuring 25mm, 35mm and 40mm diameter respectively.

Tips:

To make unwired Carnations:

1) Roll out paste on a non-stick surface using cornflour/icing sugar for dusting
2) Cut out three flower shapes using one size of cutter
3) Using a cocktail stick placed on the edge of the paste (flower petals), roll backwards and forward to create a frilled effect.
4) Complete the flower by joining the three layers of petals together using water or gum glue.

To make wired Carnations:

1) Begin by folding the tip of the wire into a small hook and use either a small piece of paste or wrap with florists tape to create a simple bud.
2) Using flower/gumpaste, cut out and frill three petal shapes
3) Thread each layer in turn onto the wire securing with water/gum glue and squeezing firmly into place.
